Update on the artist book projects - Final product is due March 14th!

Students are still independently working on their artist books that are the final project of this class.  The first progress check was the research questions due last week.  The next progress check will be Monday, Feb 28th and your handmade book must be assembled by then.  This progress check is worth 30pts.

Life-size figure drawing collages

This week students are getting started on their next creative adventure working in groups.  Students are posing for each other to illustrate either - "Flirtatiousness, melancholy, pensiveness, fatigue, or exubernace".  Then, students will use magazine scraps to collage in the color.  Hopefully, our finished products will look something like the pictures below.  Look forward to seeing them around the school soon!MVC-010S

Announcements!!!

Interim reports went home last Thursday!  Your child can get 5 bonus points if he/she brings back a signed interim!

Valentine's Dance tickets are now on sale!  Tickets for 5th and 6th graders can be bought from Ms. Bufford.  7th and 8th grade tickets can be bought from Ms. Hughes.  $8.00 in advance.  $10.00 at the door.

Week 6 - 2/7-2/11

This week we are continuing progress on our Torn Paper Portraits.  We have picked out favorite celebrity to use as our subject and are now starting to add in torn paper pieces to our drawings.  Stay
